World Dance Festival Colorado Springs Concert reviews
Great AND Disappointing
Cage the Elephant was AMAZING as always, though World Dance Festival sounded great and was a lot more lively than he was last time we saw him perform. World Dance Festival's show seemed a lot less rehearsed (in a bad way) and there were several missteps and delays. Overall it was a fantastic experience, BUT, they did not play "NIGHT RUNNING" which is the reason we went to this show!! When they started taking down the stage, hundreds of people sat around in disbelief that they would actually forego the song that they collaborated on. World Dance Festival and Cage the Elephant and Spoon seemed a lot more polished and professional while still putting on a spontaneous and exciting set. They should have closed the show because they had the energy up way more than Cage the Elephant. It really took away from the experience as we were all WAITING for that performance. The excitement was building and building through World Dance Festival's set, anticipating the return of Cage or at least Matt, since the song didn't happen during Cage's set. The venue was also beautiful and it was a great crowd. Such a shame because like I said, the show to that point had been unreal. We drove 14 hours from Canada to see this show because when else are you going to get to see Cage the Elephant and World Dance Festival perform together?!?
